In August 2008, my father, Neil Nelson passed away from a long courageous battle with cancer at the age of 58. He was diagnosed in the Winter of 2005 with colon cancer, had clean bill for a short period of time, and in Winter of 2008 the cancer had travelled to his brain.

By joining the Underwear Affair I can help raise money for cancer below the waist (colon cancer is only one of many..). And… I’m going to do it by running 10K in my UNDERWEAR!

I dedicate this run to the memory of my Father. I can just see his face right now if I told him I was going to do a 10K run in my undies. He would just shake his head, give a slight smirk and say “Good Enough”.
